Monday, April 23, 2012. 1st Time With a Bike Escort. I had my first bike escort, my 6 yr old ride with me on my in tonight. Perry got his bike back from the shop today, he was so excited to go train with me. This little guy rode 4.5miles! Love riding with this guy, he even got up to 18mph.going down hill, but that little bike is sketchy. We talked the entire time, love and cherish moments like these. Sunday, April 22, 2012. Friday, July 30, 2010. As my parents drove me from St. George, UT to the airport in Las Vegas I was a complete wreck! I was so stressed. Not only was I worried and trying to mentally prepare myself for Ironman Calgary 70.3 but I had to get me and the girls there all by myself. Just thinking about how full my car was packed and the logistics of getting us all through the airport was enough to make me cry on the spot! Man, was I happy to see him! Saturday, May 19, 2012. I was a bit nervous starting this race as I wondered what type of catastrophic event was about to punch me in the face all because of my race number. My swim was good, could've been better, passed a few girls and seeded myself well in the swim start. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Father's Day — in the US, at least — is quickly approaching. So it's somehow appropriate that I've got a hankering to talk about men. Nothing salacious, mind you … just a post on the enigmatic state of being a guy today. So if it's not any of that — if our eternal gender is something so obfuscated by culture and genome — why care? Why all the fuss? I can't speak definitively, of course … but I've got a hunch. Men no longer enjoy the confidence of living within a cohesive culture.
