Running with Mainers: Knackered!
http://paul-mainwaring.blogspot.com/2009/01/knackered.html
Saturday, January 3, 2009. That one's especially for Tim! A very enjoyable run today. Went to the Dowd, ran 4.3 by myself, then met Jocelyn and Adrian for another 4, then Lori, Kathy, Cummins and Adam joined us and I did the 8 mile loop while they carried on. Pace was a lot faster than anticipated but a nice run, good company and chat. Legs were trashed at about mile 14 but more good miles in the bank! Over 50 in the last 4 days! Going to grab some shut eye now while Sophie naps and Emily is out!

Running with Mainers: January 2008
http://paul-mainwaring.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Back in the swing. Took today off (instead of tomorrow's planned day off) and will still hit 50 miles for the week so I'm happy with that. Have pencilled in a 5k on the 9th Feb which should give me some sort of a benchmark of where I am at the moment. I'm guessing mid 16s shape. Long way to go. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Overall run was 9.5 miles in 56.50. Weather was perfect- 50s and sunny. I finished workout in just shorts! Spent the rest of the day in the park with seemingly...

Unyielding Crossroads: February 2009
http://unyieldingcrossroads.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Breakfast with the Devil. Monday in Austin, we woke up, got a quick run in and decided to head out for breakfast. We headed to a restaraunt and decided to sit on the patio because the line for inside was too long. The patio was enclosed and heated, so even though it was about 50 degrees it was still comfortable. I exclaimed. Hmmm? It was all on the same plate AND there was a hair in my potatos. Isn't it just common business sense that you remove the entire meal? We just chille...

Saturday, September 13, 2008. Hi all, just quickly checking back in to give an update on how things have been going since the Half. Well the good news is that the legs have recovered well. Working too hard and looking forward to the weekend! Sunday, September 7, 2008. Mile 12 I managed in 5.35 then mile 13 in 5.41. Unfortunate...

http://paul-mainwaring.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2008. My Dad turns 60 today. Happy birthday to one of my few readers! Ironically he is currently speeding along the autoroutes in France on his way to Lake Garda in Italy for his vacation so won't get to read this for a couple of weeks anyway! The run today felt more like a chore than something I enjoyed! 785 mile road loop including 8*100 striders at the local track. I felt tired and my legs were stiff and unresponsive. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Chill week planned now until race on Sat...

Running with Mainers: 12/30/08
http://paul-mainwaring.blogspot.com/2008/12/123008.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Took yesterday off in the end. Still plan to hit my mileage for the week if I can double up tomorrow and Saturday as planned. Today it was an effort to get out of the door as well to be honest! Weird my motivation has been lacking the last couple of days- I should be chomping at the bit! Some reasons the motivation might be lacking a bit? Not having any races scheduled? During the weeks it is always bloody dark when I run? Who knows, but hopefully it's just a temporary funk.
