At the end of the class he performed Paganini’s Witches Dance and demonstrated his monstrous, freakishly virtuosic technique. Howay Yip, violinist. December 12, 2011. I just attended my former teacher’s student violin recital. I give lessons to my old teacher’s daughter who also played at the recital. She did exceedingly well. I could hear the Chinese parents behind me “ooo” and “ahh” after she finished playing, and here is what I think is the reason why: she played with real musical intention and connected with the audience emotionally.
