Quote of the day. In the story I’m working on right now,. My character Lila is making a crazy quilt out of blue, green, and purple fabric. This photo makes me think of her crazy quilt. And this quote makes me think of how essential God’s beauty if in our lives. Posted by Leslie Gould. On Jul 9, 2015 in quote of the day. Your email address will not be published. Writerly Wednesday with Pamela Havey Lau, Author of A FRIEND IN ME. A Friend in Me: How to be a Safe Haven for Others. By Pamela Havey Lau a couple of weeks ago on my way home from a research trip on the East Coast. It’s one of those books that’s so tightly written and filled with so many gripping stories, that I reached the last page in no time. I emailed Pam from Chicago to tell her how much I liked it. Once we were home I asked if I could feature her on my blog. Thankfully she said yes! A Friend in Me.

King Kronicles: June 2014
http://joshandmaryfrancesking.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. A few weeks ago, I got a bee in my bonnet to go camping. I don't know if it was the drive over to Chelan on Memorial Day weekend to help my Grandpa move or the onset of summer but I knew we needed to act on the idea quickly. A few text messages, some quick campsite research and six days later we found ourselves on Highway 2 stuffed like sardines around the essentials for outdoor living. Just as I suspected, the next two days contained all the things that deem a camping trip as deli...

King Kronicles: 10 on the 10th
http://joshandmaryfrancesking.blogspot.com/2014/06/10-on-10th.html
Tuesday, June 10, 2014. 10 on the 10th. The late-spring sun beats down warming the earth and our souls alike. Sweat beads on tiny noses and pleas for less clothing quickly follow. I pry open the bottle of sunscreen left abandoned to it's winter home in the closet and say a silent prayer that it will keep my children's creamy white skin safe. With teeth chattering they retreat to the warmth of their terry-cloth islands. Off goes the water. The ground is sodden and their wrinkled skin tells the sto...This ...

King Kronicles: May 2013
http://joshandmaryfrancesking.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 27, 2013. Owen turned 3 this month! My how the years fly. I asked Owen what kind of birthday party he would like to have, seeing that it's the first year he'd actually have an opinion. I assumed his first response would have something to do with Lighting McQueen. But no, he wanted a motorcycle birthday party! Apple Marshmallow mouths.they have nothing to do with motorcycles but they were a hit! I asked him a few questions when he turned 3:. Who is your best friend? Who is your favorite Uncle?

King Kronicles: June 2013
http://joshandmaryfrancesking.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 23, 2013. Owen has this amazing ability to get lost in something he's doing. Usually it's rhythmic, tactile, and repetitive. The world around fades away and he becomes completely captivated by the activity at hand. It reminds me of my older brother Elias, for when he finds something that fascinates him his capacity for observation and focus are limitless. Thursday, June 20, 2013. A Saturday morning at the Lk Roesiger cabin, tendrils of steam rising off hot oatmeal. Monday, June 17, 2013.

King Kronicles: August 2013
http://joshandmaryfrancesking.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 23, 2013. Pick of the week - Imaging they are farmers). Imagingation is so vivid when you're little. I love watching the stories that unfold between Owen and his "guys" (Josh's old action figures) and dinosaurs or seeing Jesse mimic the sounds of a car or a dinosaur bashing into the ground. Wednesday, August 7, 2013. But from this trying week came these sweet pictures. An evening of togetherness when I asked Josh to skip his soccer game because I needed reinforcements; because I wasn't...
