I really really hope I haven't got the dreaded 'dry socket', but I got stitched up so that can't happen, right? I told him I don't really care what they do I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO A BIG CHEESY GRIN AND FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT. urgh. Anyway he left my top wire unchanged but gave me a new bottom one and put some funky bend in it to try and even out the gumline. So now i'm frustrated and in rather a lot of pain. Fabulous. Friday, November 16, 2012.

Another ortho appointment today! I think you look great! But reassured me that it's only been 4 weeks since the op and there's still plenty of time for swelling to dissipate. I was too scared to ask though in case I was dissapointed with the answer! I'll do eating updates etc on my one month post op blog on Sunday!

BaliGirl's Jaw Surgery Saga. Thursday, January 26, 2012. Just saw my surgeon for my 4 week checkup and everything looks good. My range of motion is now 40 mm and he said that's right on track and maybe a little better than most (he was probably just being nice, but I'll take it! The BEST news, however, is that he made an appointment to remove my splint in 2 weeks. Yippee! After the splint is removed I will go straight from his office to my orthodontist to have a new continuous wire made for my upper teeth.
