The Churches of Britain and Ireland. There are a number of books available on-line, for free! Church-related ones are listed. United Kingdom/Republic of Ireland. Howard Richter has drawn my attention to this huge on-line document. Which lists all non-CoE places of worship currently licensed in England and Wales. Howard estimates about 32,000 in total. Very useful for when you are planning a photographic campaign! If anyone can point me to similar Irish or Scottish documents, I'll add those here as well.

The website rebuild is moving slowly but surely ahead. I am almost ready to debut the new Frequently Asked Questions page- hoping to have that up by mid-March. I will be going through and trimming images from the site, but at this point I think of it more as a clean-up rather than a demolition and reconstruction. Church of Saint Mary the Virgin. In the early years the building was used as the Church and Village Hall, probably until the “Women’s Institute Hall” was erected after the First World War. When this hall was closed in 1996 Newton Church Committee agreed that, once again, the Church could be used for Village meetings. It has since been used for all meetings of the Civil Parish Council, Exhibitions and Concerts. In 2006 a ramp leading up to the door for wheelchair access was installed.
