Hey peeps. i hope you had a great weekend. mine was fantastic, in fact, i have been having a lovely last few days. this all ended about 10 minutes ago. Listen, there are few things i dislike more than being treated like a silly child. in fact, right off of the top of my head i cannot think of one thing i dislike more than being patronized. it just bugs me, as i am sure you can understand. so here's the story. It has been a freakishly long time since i have blogged. whoops, sorry about that. i have really been so incredibly blessed these last few weeks and i can't really even begin to express my gratitude for everything that has happened recently. It's in the field of criminal justice and i am oh so very proud of him! He will be so incredible and i will be grateful for the work and the benefits that come with it. Monday, September 2, 2013. Big sister had to be in the pictures. Lincoln did T-ball again this year and loved it. He played 4 games in June and had a great time. Although he was pretty dissappointed that his jersey didn't have a number on the back of it like it did last year. T-ball is a little distracting because there aren't very many hits, so most of the time the kids played in the dirt in the outfield or were playing with each other. So funny. Monday, September 2, 2013. Lincoln started Kindergarten this year on August 14th. It was really early this year, but he was excited so it was okay. Here are the pictures of his first day. Mercedes had to be involved as well. Out front of the school. This is out front of his classroom and below is the picture with his teacher Mrs. Brandt. Showing me his name tag and his cubby. Monday, September 2, 2013. Three kids and an Aflac truck. In early July, Todd had an event with the Shenandoah Hospital where he arranged for the AFLAC PGA truck to come. We went over and hung out for a little while. That was like the first super hot day so it was a little bit miserable, but it was fun to golf in the simulator. Saturday, August 8, 2015. On the Road to Adulthood. I'm sitting here at the DMV waiting for my son to take his permit test. It's nerve wracking, first for the actual test and second that he is actually on the "road" so to speak, to becoming an adult. It's scary how quickly kids grow up. Really, wasn't it just last week he was having a light saber battle with his brother? For now, I am going to continue to enjoy whatever stage he's in because I know it won't be long before this, too, is a distant memory.
