Tiny Metal Men

Wednesday, 25 March 2015. A little bit a 3D printer action. First up a Nashorn in 15mm for my brother. The supports for the gun didn't print, so that's a bit wonky looking, and the model as a whole needs a proper clean up. Not too bad though. Next up is a bit of an experiment. I'm not sure I'm happy with them 100% at the moment, but here are some 2mm infantry for a possible Gallipoli anniversary game, or two. And up close (using my phone so the pics are all rubbish). Friday, 20 March 2015. However I've n...

Tiny Metal Men: Quick Peter Pig vs. QRF M113 size comparison

http://tinymetalmen.blogspot.com/2010/04/quick-peter-pig-vs-qrf-m113-size.html

Wednesday, 7 April 2010. Quick Peter Pig vs. QRF M113 size comparison. I've just quickly thrown together a quick comparison of the relative sizes of a QRF ACAV and a Peter Pig M113 that I had in the cupboard. The comparison is intended to be on size rather than the quality of the model, as the Peter Pig has been cleaned up and undercoated, whereas the QRF has been tipped out of the bag where it's languished for the past year of two and then clumped together with Blutack. 7 April 2010 at 21:49. Heroics an...

Tiny Metal Men: Input needed - Prone basing

http://tinymetalmen.blogspot.com/2014/05/input-needed-prone-basing.html

Thursday, 8 May 2014. Input needed - Prone basing. My immediate plans when I first started this endeavour was to use 40mm round bases for prone figures. However I've noticed that that does leave a lot of space around the figure. I can make this look decorative on the base, but in the end it means that a given squad or section will take up more space that may be necessary and may look somewhat disjointed. I am just not sure. Let me know in the comments! 8 May 2014 at 12:50. 8 May 2014 at 16:27. I like the...

Tiny Metal Men: Heroics and Ros WW2 Germans

http://tinymetalmen.blogspot.com/2011/01/heroics-and-ros-ww2-germans.html

Saturday, 22 January 2011. Heroics and Ros WW2 Germans. I ordered some Heroics and Ros World War 2 Germans as opponents for my British Paratroops. H&R are quite affordable like the Irregular figures I currently use, but they come in strips that enable them to be based individually. I picked up a range of items to make up a force of Grenadiers to defend against my Irregular Paras, and here they are:. So how do they compare to the Irregular Paras? I also picked up some vehicles to support the grenadiers:.

Waning Moon of Bone: Hiatus...ish

http://moonofbone.blogspot.com/2009/11/hiatusish.html

Sunday, November 15, 2009. As you can probably see, I got one post out on this blog and then haven't followed up. The original intent was to use this for an Eldar army that I was painting. However with a limited amount of time available, and a number of other projects on the go, this hasn't progressed at all. There won't be any peronal hooby updates to this blog for a while; until I've got a bit more time from my 15mm moderns projects. Ambush Alley's Tomorrow War. Yet to be released).

Tin Pot Little Country: Turkey Shoot II - Part 1

http://tinpotlittlecountry.blogspot.com/2010/01/turkey-shoot-ii-part-1.html

Thursday, January 28, 2010. Turkey Shoot II - Part 1. The Black Manatee said. Your descritpion of the Turkey Shoot Part 2 has some merit. I feel though that you have fallen down in your failure to include a brief mention of the Insurgent Video Team - who made guest appearances for both missions. Your oversight is made more disapointing due to the miraculous appearance of Fidel and Osama - together at last! January 28, 2010 at 3:01 PM. Fear not, oh Blackest of Manatees! Tin Pot Little Country: Reinforcements

http://tinpotlittlecountry.blogspot.com/2009/11/reinforcements.html

Monday, November 16, 2009. Thats a bit of painting time frittered away there. :). November 17, 2009 at 2:49 AM. I never thought of it that way! I actually just shot the pictures pretty quickly and out it together. Id already worked out the flow, etc. whilst mowing the lawn. So it all came together pretty well. and. Consumed a minimum of painting time! I had a fair bit of fun doing it, so now Im thinking about the storyboard for the next one. November 17, 2009 at 3:28 AM. December 9, 2009 at 4:58 PM.

Irishserb's Miniatures Adventure: February 2015

http://irishserb.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 24, 2015. A Little Progress on my Rides (28mm Sc-fi Recce Cars). Haven't had much free time lately, so I haven't been able to do much, but did manage to work on the second turret for my 28mm sci-fi recce cars. As I suggested previously, they will simply be Mk1 and Mk2 versions of the car with different turret configuration and a couple of slight differences in the hull. Unfortunately, that is all I have to share for now. Sunday, February 8, 2015. I think the second recce car may get a d...

Irishserb's Miniatures Adventure: The Mugabia-Uwanda War

http://irishserb.blogspot.com/p/the-mugabia-uwanda-war.html

The Mugabia-Uwanda War is an ongoing conflict or series of conflicts set in fictional countries in an Africa-like continent. The games consists of both strategic and tactical rules with battles being played out with 15mm miniatures. Below are links to my blog posts related to the Mugabia-Uwanda War:. Irishserb's Miniatures Adventure: June 2015

http://irishserb.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 28, 2015. 15mm Odds and Ends, Modern/Post War Vehicles and Infantry. I've been trying to get stuff off of my painting table, and this weekend, I finally addressed some 15mm problem children that have been hanging around. And compared to the proper QRF Ferret Mk2 on the right below. Combine these with the Peter Pig armor crewmen that I painted, and it was a pretty productive weekend. Now if I can just get that Mugabian border crossing done, I can get some games in next weekend. Welcome to my ...

Monday, July 20, 2015. 1/100, 15mm Models from Armaments In Miniature. I recently placed my first order with Armaments In Miniature for a couple of 1/100 scale planes for use with my African imagi-nations. Let say that I am very happy with my order, and will definitely be ordering from them again. Http:/ www.armamentsinminiature.com/. Saturday, July 18, 2015. On the Work Bench (7-15). This year, I've been bouncing between sci-fi/post-apoc and African imagi-nation projects, and right now my work table is ...

Tin Pot Little Country: First Post

http://tinpotlittlecountry.blogspot.com/2008/11/first-post.html

Wednesday, November 19, 2008. This blog is going to be used for "in-character" reporting on my insurgent wargames, most notably - AK47 Republic games in the country of Ztumre/Zumsia. The idea is to provide an area separate of the Tiny Metal Men. Blog that is a repository for all of the fictional background for games, and also for after action reports.  TMM will function as the main modelling blog and will provide information regarding more historically-based wargames. I've also begun using Matte Medium and found it to be extremely helpful for attaching ground work and sand because it has the extremely helpful tendency to soak deeply into the ground work and bond my covering of choice with the base. But soon enough the three had shortly made. The best of friends (or close) and had few spats. Upon the bed, a fearless persian sweet. With squishy nose, and eyes like owlish moons. Beside him, temper kind but caution fleet,. A boy who sings at windows daily tunes. A girl the last, his sister close and dear. Who oft in quiet corners likes to hide,.
