How can we help you get prepared? Tip 6 – Car Kit. Warmer weather probably means more on-the-road traveling. For the month of June, the area to increase our preparedness is to assemble or update a CAR KIT. Below is a list of items to start your own car kit (or update if it’s been a while):. Flashlight and extra batteries. Extra clothes (undergarments, shirt, pants or shorts, and socks for each family member). Non-perishable food items (24-hours worth if manageable). Water (24-hours worth if manageable).
