Amusing, San Diegan, and Reading while Showering: October 2008
http://hellodove.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Whoa, whoa, WHOA. HOLD ON. I was just getting ready to shut this bad boy down and go meems, but then I thought, "hmmm, I haven't checked cuteoverload.com in a long time, and I'm not super tired, I think I'll waste a few more minutes on the glorious internet." Little did I know that there's an angel somewhere in this crazy mixed up world of ours who took the most amazing picture, just for me:. It smells faintly of smoke, and the moon is gigantic! Monday, October 13, 2008. Waitin...

SlowHome: March 2009

Locally inspired, not so large, unperfect and ours. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Hi, everyone. I don't know why it's been so hard for me to get over here and write lately. A few out-of-town trips and apparently I'm all wackadoo. I do have lots to write about, but I thought I'd start my comeback with something I know. A few of you want, and that I'd been working on for quite a bit. Salad Dressing! Goat cheese, feta, and mozzarella are all good), and nuts. There for a reason before you start experimenting....

SlowHome: July 2008

Locally inspired, not so large, unperfect and ours. Thursday, July 31, 2008. A Guy Walks Into a Flower Shop. This may seem like it should be posted on another blog (funtimers! But it's not, so here's the story. A guy walks into a flower shop. He buys a ton of flowers. Next week, the same thing. And then again, he shows up. So what's his deal? Does he have a mad passion for flowers himself? Personal assistant to San Diego's leading Don Juan? Trying to woo his own lady, Cliff-style? Links to this post.

Locally inspired, not so large, unperfect and ours. Thursday, February 12, 2009. All Good in the Scherensnitte Hood. I haven't been working on very many art/craft projects around here. All of this walking and making sure there's always milk in the house, I suppose. I'm not used to doing it all. I have several projects that are sort of stalled right now. Promise to share when they're done. But I was looking around blogland today and found (thank you, Extreme Cards and Papercrafting. That looks very perfect.

Locally inspired, not so large, unperfect and ours. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Links to this post. Saturday, September 27, 2008. The countdown to surgery is well under way, so I thought I'd post an update. I've found it a little harder to get happy about this surgery, mainly because it's not saving my life this time. But last week I turned a corner and I'm ready to go. Links to this post. Sunday, September 21, 2008. Here's One Thing That Happened In Monterey. I learned how to use the timer on my camera...

SlowHome: The Uncancery Future
http://slowhome.blogspot.com/2009/06/uncancery-future.html
Locally inspired, not so large, unperfect and ours. Friday, June 26, 2009. Two moths since that last post, huh? We've been so busy, in the eloquent words of David Wooderson, 'L-I-V-I-N.'. I do intend to keep writing here, but for now I think the best update is more photo-centric. My mom has a new portrait commission. He's a fox. Harvested the Brussels Sprouts! Official Plant Friend Update to come. Nieces and their Mama at Freestone during our first NorCal visit of the year. Chula vista nature center.

Amusing, San Diegan, and Reading while Showering: My Life in Quarters
http://hellodove.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-life-in-quarters.html
Wednesday, April 21, 2010. My Life in Quarters. My mom is hosting a gigantor garage sale this Saturday, one that I have contributed pounds and pounds of stuff to. Tough break for Mom: I won't be there. Of all the Saturdays to pick from, the sale falls on the day S and I leave for Colorado. Luckily, Mama O will be helping Mama W. Or a lesson in the free market? I would never sell my nose flute! Also, what is it about this commercial. That is so grating? And why is it when it comes on I can't look away?

Amusing, San Diegan, and Reading while Showering: February 2009
http://hellodove.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 14, 2009. Good Morning and Happy Valentine's Day! I know it's a mostly Hallmarkian holiday, but what's wrong with a calendar-based nudge to focus on love? Who says it has to be romantic love only? Maybe I can be all tra-la-la about it because I have found my Sweet Baboo (currently snoring even though he's been asleep for over 10 hours. Seriously, what the French, toast? Why aren't you awake already? Since I didn't make you a box of cookies this year, here is a pie:. I actually agree wi...
