Tisa as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Saturday, January 15, 2011. So I have been having this conversation with people lately and the more and more I think about it, the more I realize how silly life is. One of the things that I have really been enjoying out here is all the fresh fruits and vegetables! I buy local foods, I buy seasonally, and there are no preservatives or any stuff like that in the food. Even with meats, all the animals roam freely and eat grasses instead of corn. It's great! The answer is Yes!

From a distance the song is actually quite beautiful (not quite as screechy as the video seems), and I could hear them calling from the bungalow we stayed in near the edge of the park. Mostly I was just incredibly excited to have FINALLY seen lemurs after nearly 18 months on this island. Baobabs which remain in the world today (shown here with my friend Kathy). Saturday, November 5, 2011. 1 cup corn meal. 1 cup plain yogurt. 1 cup cooked, pureed pumpkin (or creative substitution! 2 Tbs brown sugar (I put in heaping spoonfuls). 1 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp. salt. I'm heading up to the training village for the next two weeks for my mid-service conference. I'm very excited because I'll get to see a bunch of my friends that I haven't seen since last December!
