Syracuse Titans Track and Field. Monday, January 14, 2008. Indoor Update and Workouts - Jan 14, 2008. The first indoor meet in the history of Syracuse Track and Field had some great performances. For most of the TEAM, it was the first meet they had ever competed in. The results were impressive. With over 40 schools from four states competing, the Titans had some strong performances. ATHLETES OF THE WEEK. Chosen as the first Athletes of the Week of the 2008 season were Sasha Russell and Tyrell Yardley.

Not only in the quality of the performances, but also in the efforts of so many to host the meet. Both Boys and Girls finished 6th in the eight-school region which is by far the strongest in the state. The top-three boys teams at State and three of the top four girls spots will probably come from Region One.

Syracuse Titans Track and Field. Thursday, May 24, 2007. First Workouts- May 28 to June 19. The Will to WIN means Nothing,. Without the Will to PREPARE! FR= Fartlek Run - This literally means "speed play". In this type of workout you should vary your pace, terrain, etc. When done properly, it is as hard of a workout as you will have. Hilly trails, parks, etc. are good places for these, although the roads will do. TrR= Trail Run - Use a variety of terrain, and watch out for turned ankles, rattlesnakes, etc.

Sasha Russell was our top finisher in the Girls J.V. race as she finished 30th in 25:59. In the J.V. race, Kyle Kelly ran strong to finish 33rd in 21:26. Titan Track continued to show improvement last week in the dual meet against Northridge. The Lady Titans won by a score of 74 - 53, while the boys lost 68.5 - 67.5.
