Sunday, August 17, 2014. Iron Curtain Bike Birding. Bunker "B-S 4 Lány" lies just few meters from Danube bike trail. Bunker "B-S 4 Lány". Information panel in Slovak, German and English as well. Historical border gate (these days not exactly on the border line). Danube bike trail is realley next to the fortification. Former military border road, today it's a bike trail (left side - Slovak cornfield, right side - Austrian cornfield). Military cemetery and WWI memorial. Cross in the middle of the cemetery.

Saturday, January 31, 2015. White-tailed Eagle census on Danube. Last Saturday of January is a date, when annual census of wintering White-tailed Eagles. It was snowing in the morning. Clouds were grey and low. Not the best conditions for birdwatching. Despite the fact, one of the first observed birds was a Kingfisher. In following 1,5 hour I observed its several flyovers. The skies were slowly clearing. On the surface of Danube were flocks of Tufted Ducks. And few Great Cormorants. Were diving for fish.

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Short urbanbirding walk along Danube. I had some small duties in the city center. There was a bit of spare time so I got off from the tram 3 stops earlier and walked along the Danube river. One may think the grey waters of Danube can't show something special.
