Follow me as I travel the globe on my cycling adventure. Thursday, September 11. Last week we were up in Canada for the last road race of the season, the 6 day Tour of Alberta. The race started with a short 4 kilometer prologue that wold be decisive in setting up the general classification. It was a hard course with a flat run-in to a steep one kilometer climb at the Olympic Park up to the top of the bobsled track. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that we got some sweet new kits. There was a bit of headwind on the long climbing sections, so I stayed in the draft for as much as I could and then halfway through the first lap I made my move. The drive train consists of an FSA SL-K single crankset with a 32 tooth chainring paired with an 11 speed (10-42) SRAM X01 cassette. FSA ceramic press fit Mega Exo bottom bracket. Shifting is handled by a SRAM X01 trigger paired to a SRAM XX1 rear derailleur. No front derailleur! They were wonderfully gracious hosts, and our feast was delicious. As this isn't my first Thanksgiving away from home, or at an unfamiliar house, I'm starting to get the hang of it. You see, for me Thanksgiving is all about one thing. The impression I had hoped for was not achieved. I'll take pics later.

Come, see the world through my eyes. Friday, August 7, 2015. Banshil - A day with deodars. Another trip to another beautiful Himalayan village- Banshil, located among deodar trees. I will not tell you where for I want to keep the location of the place a secret- it is so beautiful and unspoiled. The meadows were rolling green and bordered by forests full of deodar trees and birds and butterflies. I saw a common peacock butterfly and heard many birds. Playing cricket in the evening. It is a beautiful life.
