Darcy in Argentina: For once and for all...
http://darcyinargentina.blogspot.com/2009/04/for-once-and-for-all.html
For once and for all. I'm writing with some exciting news from abroad. I recently received word from AFS Argentina. That they have reviewed your application and have accepted you into their Year Program Summer/Fall Departure. So this is it. Lots of feelings inside of me, not quite sure how I feel. But for better or for worse, it looks like I will be stepping onto a plane to Miami (and then on to Buenos Aires) in 113 days, on July 28. Wow (deep breath.). But now we must pack up every piece.

The Chanthaburi Tales:Japan: September 2009

The adventures of an exchange student living in Kanazawa. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. I Attempt a Japanese Claw Machine. Thursday, September 17, 2009. I've decided that I can't recap everything that's happened sequentially so I'm just going to write about different topics until everyone is brought up to speed. Today I'll do school since that's taking up most of my time right now (plus I'm typing this in school right now, IT class). And I answered with a triumphant "Yes! I don't understand a lot of the c...

The Chanthaburi Tales:Japan: August 2009
http://chanthaburitales.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
The adventures of an exchange student living in Kanazawa. Monday, August 24, 2009. What a loooooong flight! Today is my second (full) day in Japan. Unfortunately right now I only have access to internet through my host family's computer. I've written down stuff that's happened so far and once my host family fixes their wifi connection (a familiar scenario for me haha) I'll do a bigger, better update. Like a sequel to a movie. Except it won't suck. Until then, enjoy! Thursday, August 20, 2009. I'm a 19 ye...

Darcy in Argentina: Waiting
http://darcyinargentina.blogspot.com/2009/02/waiting.html
Oooohhhgh. It's been five weeks. Five weeks and a day since I clicked "submit" on my full application. Five weeks exactly since I had my interview with my local AFS volunteers. Five weeks, and no official word of acceptance. yet! They said it would take 4-6 weeks to be accepted. (Then again, I've talked to some other people who told me that. well. it can end up being more like 6-8 weeks! For now, I'm content with chatting it up with my. Overall, I'm just. waiting. I bought a gigantic. Not really a tossup.

Darcy in Argentina: To Be Myself Completely
http://darcyinargentina.blogspot.com/2009/03/to-be-myself-completely.html
To Be Myself Completely. So lately, no news. Nothing! Hmmm I'm still kind of confused, but oh well, things are good. I really don't know how I feel about my exchange. Most outbounds I've talked to are a little nervous, but mostly just extremely extremely excited. But. I'm. really REALLY nervous. I tear up just thinking about leaving! I know it will be great, know it will be the most amazing experience ever, blah blah blah, and I. Excited, somewhere in there. But mostly just anxious and afraid. And to be ...

The Chanthaburi Tales:Japan: December 2008
http://chanthaburitales.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
The adventures of an exchange student living in Kanazawa. Sunday, December 14, 2008. I always have to start these posts with an apology for not updating sooner. I guess I don't want two sentence posts or meaningless posts but then I forget to update and I leave everybody hanging there waiting to hear what's happened. I officially finished my chemo sessions on November 25th! Lately I've been visiting my school Thursdays at lunch to perform and practice improv with the team (of which I'm currently an honor...

The Chanthaburi Tales:Japan: March 2009
http://chanthaburitales.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
The adventures of an exchange student living in Kanazawa. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. I'm wondering if I should make a completely new exchange blog now that this one has an irrelevant title/site name and it gives a pretty big background on before my exchange. I think if I started with a fresh exchange blog, it would be good. What do you guys (assuming more than one person reads this) think? I'd post the link to it here if I decided to make it.
