Adventures in Relocating: January 2011
http://jb-in-sf.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Moderation is not my strong suit. So, I spent way too much time tonight scrolling through the list of "recommended items" in Google Reader. Some of my readers may have benefited (or not) from my lack of moderation. Knitted items. Surname densities in London. All caught my attention and were forwarded to the appropriate parties. But this. This magnificent bit. Links to this post.

Adventures in Relocating: I took the plunge
http://jb-in-sf.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-took-plunge.html
Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Sunday, July 24, 2011. I took the plunge. After years of thinking and contemplating, I finally put on my big girl pants and ordered one of these. I am a HUGE non-fan of DRM. And it completely galls me that the books I purchase will not belong to me. That being said, I read enough and travel enough that this purchase makes sense despite the draconian nature of DRM. I've actually been using the free reading app.

Adventures in Relocating: Curling up with old friends
http://jb-in-sf.blogspot.com/2010/11/curling-up-with-old-friends.html
Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Curling up with old friends. As an adult, I don't take the time to reconnect with my old friends like Sheriff Bart, Igor or Barfolomew nearly enough; but every now and then, I'll catch one of Mel's treasures on cable. If you are a Mel fan, too (or aspire to become one), let is be known that Young Frankenstein is currently on HBO's rotation. Labels: Things I love. L' is for Latte.

Adventures in Relocating: February 2010
http://jb-in-sf.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Friday, February 26, 2010. I know it's a bit early to throw down best and worst lists but I'm going big, Olympics style, so here we go:. Jaime's top 5 of the Vancouver games. Bob Costas - I love him. Seriously. Mary Carillo's nightly 'slice of Canada' segments - the blind sled dog killed me. Shaun White's 1260 McTwist. Podium being used as a verb. Jaime's bottom 5 of the Vancouver games. Links to this post.

Received a brochure in the mail at work to attend an upcoming conference. Situation normal. Flipped through said brochure before discarding and noticed this:. Do you see what caught my attention? Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Saturday, July 30, 2011. I love the 80's - movie edition. In 1987, Nicolas Cage starred in two magnificent movies. This post is about the non-Academy Award winner of the pair. Son, you've got a panty on your head.". Oh, this movie. Links to this post. Adventures in Relocating: Potter & miscellany
http://jb-in-sf.blogspot.com/2011/07/potter-miscellany.html
Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. You will have to forgive me in advance of reading this post – I’m a little emotional this evening. I watched the new Harry Potter movie. Tonight and I was a mess from pretty much beginning to end. To help me process my feelings, I'm going to wax a bit on my relationship with Mr. Potter. Due to the enthusiastic postings of this blogger. If not, I will leave you with this.

Adventures in Relocating: August 2010
http://jb-in-sf.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Come along on the journey as this Midwesterner adjusts to life, work, and play in San Francisco. Monday, August 30, 2010. Of trebuchets and volcanoes. No disrespect to my fellow bloggers but this. Is my favorite thing right now. I'm seriously contemplating a search and find mission to Seattle to find The Oatmeal. Confession: Of all the gems, possibly my favorite is this. Shiny bit of awesomeness. Really. Anyone who can squeeze a trebuchet into their funeral instructions - and not have that be the...It's ...
