To celebrate our 9th anniversary. I promise to have MUCH better ones to go with the 10th anniversary post. Don't take the picture in a way where you have to look at the sun as well. Sunday, December 19, 2010. Christmas 2010: In The Midst. In the midst of this Christmas season,. We were able to take a day to really celebrate ALL DAY. First we celebrated Baby Jesus during Ellie's Sunday school program. In her Christmas dress. Then we got to celebrate Baby Jesus with Uncle Joel,. His girlfriend - Michaela,. And G and G Mathiesen. We got to eat a very nice (kidless) lunch. Then we ate a snack when the girls got up from their naps. We read the Christmas story. And then we opened PRESENTS!

Monday, December 22, 2008. I'm an Auntie (again)! Daddy Chad and his daughter. She was born by C-section. So we were waiting for Mommy Stephie. To come back from surgery). She has a FANTASTIC set of lungs. She is sooo cute! I can't wait to see her! December 22, 2008 at 4:50 PM. December 22, 2008 at 7:14 PM. Make sure somebody else is taking pictures for you when you hold her, Jenny! December 23, 2008 at 8:35 AM. Kevin, Brooke, Harrison and Emmett. It will be fun to meet her too! The First of Many.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Friday, February 11, 2011. Last Sunday we drove 3 hours to watch a certain football game. Larsens are Packer fans. Just don't ask me who ANY of the players are. The babies even watched upstairs. The serious fans watched downstairs. The serious fans were extremely loud. Thus the children spent most of the time upstairs playing. Or coming back upstairs crying. The half Larsens half Mathiesens. And the Mathiesens are truly half Larsens. Oh, the tension! But then, GO PACK GO!

If your students have trouble understanding carrying or regrouping when adding, you might consider what they call a "new math" method called Partial Sum Addition. I've have tried partial products for multiplication with one of my kids who struggles with multiplication and that worked well, so I think I will go back and try this method of addition with her as well as sometimes addition with regrouping is problematic.
