The rest of the school year was just parties and assemblies anyway). Stay tuned for more interesting installments of. From the House on the ROAD! The Amb...

From the House on the Hill: April 2012
http://fromthehouseonthehill.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
From the House on the Hill. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Lately i have been getting overwhelming moments of thought when all the different aspects of my world seem to connect and correlate in meaningful and profound ways. These moments flood me with feelings and thoughts that i cannot quite articulate. I get it a lot when i'm studying the scriptures or a lesson i'm going to teach. It's not like i understand it all, but for a moment i feel the strings that bind it all together. Them, quite viscerally. We ma...

From the House on the Hill: June 2012
http://fromthehouseonthehill.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
From the House on the Hill. Thursday, June 28, 2012. I would be my brother's keeper. Well it's come up again. The modesty and breastfeeding debate. this time round it took place on a friend's facebook timeline. the discussion occurred in a civil and genuine and amicable way. Still it has me thinkin'. Mainly because of the "brother's keeper" argument. Reast must be uncovered for the baby to get to the nipple to latch and nurse, therefore adding an extra sexually stimulating aspect. Believe me when i say i...

From the House on the Hill: The West Coast!
http://fromthehouseonthehill.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-west-coast.html
From the House on the Hill. Thursday, July 11, 2013. June 12th we made it into California! We stopped at a gas station/restaurant/military history museum just inside the state border. Honestly, one should never assume there is good food at a gas station. seriously, NEVER. But this was the first time we stopped for fast food the entire trip. Here are the random tanks outside the General Patton Memorial Museum. very interesting pit stop for sure. Labels: Road trip 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

From the House on the Hill: January 2014
http://fromthehouseonthehill.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
From the House on the Hill. Saturday, January 4, 2014. The one about the sad stuff pt. 2. I had been meaning to call someone about my snap for about a week but I couldn't decide who to call. My favorite NP had left our family practice a year or so ago, but she worked for JMU's health center, but that didn't open til Jan. 6th. And I couldn't get a new patient appointment with the osteopath that I really want our family to start seeing until February. You can read more of my history with depression here.

From the House on the Hill: August 2011
http://fromthehouseonthehill.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
From the House on the Hill. Sunday, August 21, 2011. Who am i to judge another. Sometimes i judge people. It's true. please feel free to judge me for judging others. What really brought this anti-virtue to life was the county fair. It's really amazing the types of people that come out to the county fair. You've got a huge cross section of the population in the county. And the one that gets me: smokers. So i guess this is where the judgement comes in. But honestly my brain first says: WHY? The nicotine in...

From the House on the Hill. Saturday, June 1, 2013. The Atlanta Express Leaving at 3:30am. We woke up the kids around 3:00 am to get them into the truck. We handed them their stufties and showed them their new activity clip boards. And hit the road around 3:30 am. Look at them all puffy faced and sleepy eyed! And yes, i do realize that the cat is the only thing in focus.i was working at 3:30 am here! So off we go, down the lane, down the hill and to the interstate we go. Christian and my favorite was a g...

From the House on the Hill: September 2011
http://fromthehouseonthehill.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
From the House on the Hill. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Who you callin' brave? It seems that us home birthers get the reputation of being brave. I am here to refute that notion. I am the least brave person in the world when it comes to birth. See even Ivy's laughing at that notion. Here's a true story of bravery:. Archer was born in Las Vegas at St. Rose Hospital Siena Campus. I didn't know i needed to be brave until i went to the hospital for the tour. A strange lady sticks her hand in my vagina and f...
