Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Christmas Is Over But My Dreams Live On. Have you ever had an idea that just wouldn’t leave you alone? Or one that you dreamed about? It doesn’t happen to me very often but when it does, WOW! Next I heated the glass until it was glowing and puffed a small amount of air into the ornament to expand it very slightly. This is to help center the bubble inside the ornament so it is a better final shape. Then I added another wrap of clear glass so that the glass is thicker ...So, h...

Tina's Country Life: October 2009

Friday, October 23, 2009. Teeny Leenie Spamaleeni…. Let me apologize right now if I sent you spam. It was unintentional. I was surprised to see several emails in my inbox stating that the email I sent was not deliverable. Thing is, I didn’t send any emails to those addresses. I think I figured out who did it, though. Leenie, my kitten. Apparently she’s a very talented kitten. She’s tried to order pay-per-view (is there an all-kitten channel I’m not aware of? I’m sure she’s asking, “What. Today is THE Day.

Tina's Country Life: January 2011

Tuesday, January 4, 2011. The Virtues Of Patching Jeans. I know, I know… The fashion trend is to have shredded jeans. Some even have ‘patches’ showing through. At a recent art and craft fair I saw a pair walking by with shreds from thigh to shin on each leg, and quilted floral fabric peeking through the shreds as the 'patch'. And it was quite… ahem…. fetching? Well, not really. Especially because I knew that they had been purchased that way. Wear them to town and flaunt my 'designer' look? Dear Father, t...

Tina's Country Life: Nurse Penny
http://tinascountrylife.blogspot.com/2013/01/nurse-penny.html
Saturday, January 5, 2013. And he agreed to meet us at his office as soon as we could get there. Penny got to spend the night at the vet's, and I was able to pick her up the next day. Because she is known for licking the wounds of the other dogs if they are injured, and generally tending to them when they are hurt. She is now recuperating on her bed in the living room, and hopefully she will be back to normal soon. Penny Is Feeling Better. Posted by Tina Julich. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 2011 T...

Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Doorman for the Dogs. Well, since the largest is over 100 pounds any doggie door big enough for him is big enough for a human being and I just don’t want to leave the house vulnerable like that. . . Why don’t I just ignore them and leave them out and/or in? Well, they can be pretty darned annoying is why. Have you tried to sleep with a dog whining and whining and whining? So, long story shorter, I am a self-proclaimed doggie doorman. Posted by Tina Julich. Links to this post.

Tina's Country Life: My Ideal Morning
http://tinascountrylife.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-ideal-morning.html
Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Morning is my favorite time of the day. I love getting up to the sounds and smells of the morning. Today, on my morning walk, I thought about what would make an ideal morning for me. After my cup-o-joe I get up and invite the dogs to join me for my morning walk, to let the chickens out of their coop and then get the paper. We walk up the driveway with the dogs chasing each other and running to nuzzle Anna as she guards the driveway from unseen intruders. Posted by Tina Julich.

Tina's Country Life: On “The Farm” Life Is Certainly Entertaining
http://tinascountrylife.blogspot.com/2011/03/on-farm-life-is-certainly-entertaining.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. On “The Farm” Life Is Certainly Entertaining. This morning was one of those mornings that held a delightful surprise for me. It wasn’t yet dawn when I crawled out of bed, got dressed and started my morning farm chores. The morning was rainy and damp and I didn’t relish the thought of getting out in it and experiencing the ambiance of a cold, wet day. Morning farm chores. Sounds positively dreadful, doesn’t it? Well, let me explain…. Posted by Tina Julich. Your love comforts me wh...
