The kids and I were out with the shovels until Matt came home and got the snow blower out. :) Instead of shoveling, we had some fun instead! After our snowman was made, the snowball fight began! It was so much fun! Carter filling his puppy. Picking a heart for her zebra. Giving our animals their baths. :). The naming process was quite interesting....

The Vos': Our Home Project
http://mlcavos.blogspot.com/2010/10/our-home-project.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. It has been an interesting past 6 months. God has really been testing us and making us rely on Him! The kids have been troopers through the whole thing. Here Alexis is helping Uncle Dennis fill in the trench that Matt dug to run the electrical wires. We are so grateful for so many friends and family who have been there offering assistance along the way. Watching what's going on and taking it all in. These are out of order, but this is the paneling that started it all! Exciting ...

Tuesday, October 7, 2008. When I'm 3 . . . I get to take swimming lessons! OK, so I'm not quite 3 yet, but mommy wanted me to have. More lessons before the Christmas break. This is my teacher, Miss Phyllis, with my class. Today is my first day of lessons. I get to actually go swimming instead of only watching Carter and Karlie! Mommy said I did a great job. :). I had a great time today and can't wait until Thursday! Feel free to come watch me swim anytime. :). They say the Pledge of Allegiance every day.

California Reeds: January 2011
http://californiareeds.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 23, 2011. Yesterday, the sisters and I got together with Daddy and Ruby at middle sisters home. We ate - of course - and played dominoes. When Daddy was mixing the dominoes up I looked closely at his hands. I started thinking about how much living those almost 91 year old hands have gone through. These are the hands that held Mommy's hands for so many years. These are the hands that held his five children and their families so near and dear to his heart. Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

California Reeds: Where Does 25 Years Go?
http://californiareeds.blogspot.com/2010/12/where-does-25-years-go.html
Friday, December 10, 2010. Where Does 25 Years Go? This year, 2011, is the 25. Anniversary of Mommy’s death. It seems unreal that it has been that long. I can still smell the French Toast she used to make me each and every morning when I was living at home. On the morning of Don's and my wedding she didn’t disappoint. There it was, waiting on the table for me…my French Toast with “white syrup.”. You may ask, “White syrup? She was the most unselfish person I have ever met. How lucky I was! It was made out...

Finding Joy: March 2014
http://jkdebruin.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 14, 2014. Joys, Comparisons and Concerns. I love how uniquely different they are and yet how deeply connected they are to each other. I find joy in seeing them use their unique gifts. I desire for my kids to exprience success as they use their gifts. I understand how to develop athletic and academic gifts. I'm not as confident about developing Madelyn's more creative and personal side. But joy is lost when we are concerned for our children's health and things that may impede their ability t...
