Days With the Duerksen's: November 2014
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Friday, November 7, 2014. This piece needs a good washing. I reintroduced the kids to the creek this week. They always need a bit of a push to go down there, but there's so much to explore! Little did we know we would stumble upon something exciting - well, at least as exciting as geology can get! And for the first time in my parenting life, I said the words, "Come in when it gets dark! I've dreamed of that for a long time! Waiting for Cambry and for me. Just look at those layers.

Days With the Duerksen's: June 2015
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Friday, June 26, 2015. Cambry, Delaney, and I enjoyed a girls' day today in Wichita! It's really been a girls' WEEK around here with Caiden gone and Chelan out in the fields. But I had promised Cambry we would finally get her to Barnes and Noble to use a gift card from her birthday and to a pet store to get her some fish for her aquarium - also a birthday gift. So, today was the day! We had a lot of fun together! Cambry is counting the days until we can do it again. This guy got...

The Duerksen Diaries: March 2012
http://duerksendiaries.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 8, 2012. With my first little guy, everyone asked whether he looked Treg or me. Now that we’re on our third boy, the number one question is which brother he looks like. So here they are, all newborns again. And I’ll let you guess who is who… and in the comment session I’ll give the answers. Monday, March 5, 2012. I realized I didn’t take any pregnancy photos. The boys were excited, but a little unsure of everything. On Saturday we got to take our little guy home! Chayce loves to hold Bode...

Days With the Duerksen's: August 2015
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Monday, August 31, 2015. As much as Caiden would love to be playing football, he's still not quite old enough - at least for jr. high sports. He will have to wait another year. However, he is one of the managers for the jr. high football team this year. He's loving it - and he's learning a few things for next year! It's been a good fit for him so far. Even though it is requiring more driving for us, we know that the football field is exactly where he wants to be after school!

Days With the Duerksen's: Summer Fun Day!
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-fun-day.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Thursday, July 16, 2015. My sister invited us to join her and Ty in Salina on Monday. Our first stop was the "Cozy Inn" - it's been on my list to try for some time. Who can go wrong with a bag of little burgers? The kids all loved them, and that's saying something! I can't remember the last time the girls ate a hamburger and liked it. Then it was on to the water park! Good idea, Vanessa! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. My summer happy spot.

Days With the Duerksen's: March 2015
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Friday, March 20, 2015. 11 years old already! This guy gets to celebrate his birthday during spring break most years - something he doesn't mind one bit! He wanted to go to Applebee's so he could have a good steak. So in true Duerksen fashion, we combined eating out with other business. Some of our calves had to be hauled off to the sale barn in Salina, and after that was accomplished, we went to eat. Hopefully, Caiden didn't mind too much. And in maturity (most of the time).

Days With the Duerksen's: July 2015
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Saturday, July 25, 2015. My sister and I enjoyed a day out with two of our cousins last Thursday. We have never done such a thing, but I'm starting to think that it should be an annual event! I have a lot of cousins, but Erica and Tina were the only ones I grew up with on a daily basis - same school, same town, same church. It was a delight to spend the day with them. We ate lunch in Aggieville at Rock-a-Belly Deli. Good sandwiches! I can't wait to go back there! The views were ...

Days With the Duerksen's: Good Ol' Threshing Days
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2015/08/good-ol-threshing-days.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Monday, August 3, 2015. Good Ol' Threshing Days. Another Threshing Days is in the books, and this year we did it without Chelan. He was in Idaho for work, so we tackled the day without him! The parade was different for us this year: Caiden played in the 6th-12th grade band (mostly jr. high, though) and Cambry rode on the 4-H float. It was just Delaney and me to do the watching (and collect candy)! Caiden's bike kept breaking - good thing Pat had some tools in his truck! Ross and...

Days With the Duerksen's: December 2014
http://duerksendays.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Days With the Duerksen's. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Christmas morning is pretty laid back at our house - the kids get up and then they wait for us to pull ourselves out of bed! There's always a little argument about whether to do stockings first or presents first - it seems like that should be set in stone by now, but it's not. This year, the stockings won out! Chelan and Caiden surprised me with a new window box that they put together (since I backed over the old one - don't ask)! The kids even put to...
