I have been baking, but I've just been using the same recipes I've posted about before.or I didn't have or make the time to blog about new recipes. Or the new recipes aren't good enough to post about. I did make chocolate chip pretzel cookies, but they were nothing great, so I probably won't post about them. The idea is interesting though. Here. Definitely not either though. It's in a liminal phase. haha I love liminality. Anyway, these are good. Like butter cookies but less dense. Giving some to Grandpa H. tomorrow. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Really Simple (albeit short and stubby) Popovers. Made these this past weekend (9/7/09) because it seemed too easy to be true, and others had rated it well on Recipezaar. They came out eggy and . well, plain, but that's why you add butter and honey or jam or whatever you want. Also made 10 popovers in a regular muffin pan (the recipe poster made "big, tall" ones. But we'll see if that ever happens. The bottoms had big dents in them:. Break eggs in bowl. Let It Be Sunday!

Saturday, April 24, 2010. Lemon Pie with Grandma. Baked on Saturday, 4/17/10. Grandma M. gave us some of her lemons, and she mentioned missing making lemon pie, so my dad suggested we bake together. Needless to say, we did, and it was so much fun. She didn't have her recipe (it ended up being a recipe from a cornstarch box anyway), so I looked to The Daring Bakers. Since I knew I could see LOTS of bloggers' results from the same recipe and they seemed pretty successful (one failure. We used Joy the Baker.

Sunday, July 26, 2009. Finally Made a Dutch Baby! So easy and so delicious and light-ish. Make one NOW. :D It's like a huge popover.only more custard-y and tasty and like a heavy cream puff. Or a puffy baked pancake but with a completely different texture than a pancake. I think I just ate mine plain, then with syrup, and then with ice cream, but people have recommended powdered sugar, jam, etc. Need a pan that you can put in the oven. I think I'll go make some popovers now. haha. DUTCH BABY (1) RECIPE.

March 16, 2013. This is another recipe that I found from What's Cookin, Chicago? Via Pinterest. When I came across it, I knew it might be a keeper. Well it turns out I was right (aren't I always)! I have made this meal about four times now and I think it is safe to say I will make it again before too long. If you like sauce, it wouldn't hurt to add a bit more than the recipe calls for.
