Randomness of D: Swirling Brain, Adoption Heart
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2016/02/swirling-brain-adoption-heart.html
Welcome to the random! Friday, February 26, 2016. Swirling Brain, Adoption Heart. As we get within hopefully a couple months of meeting our boy, there's a lot swirling in my brain. I've been asked a lot of questions by family, friends, and even strangers. I've been reading a lot about other's adoption journeys and see the things they are being asked. There are two lines of questioning that really stick out to me as most common:. 1 Why aren't you adopting locally (city, state, nationally)? Further, he pos...

Randomness of D: November 2011
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Welcome to the random! Thursday, November 17, 2011. Yesterday you turned 13. I made you cupcakes. And I cried, A LOT. So, the only option in my heart is to hope against hope that you are coming home. I put all of my eggs in this basket, and I just have to trust that it was a good idea. I know that God works all things to the good of conforming his children to the image of Christ. I know that nothing is impossible with God. I know. I KNOW. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To Bring Him Joy.

Randomness of D: November 2013
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Welcome to the random! Sunday, November 17, 2013. That said, I thought I would recount what these six years have been, how special he is to me, and how thankful I am for this journey we are on. There's been six years of easy things. Sitting together in the car holding hands, not feeling the need to fill silence. Serving with teenagers at church, while difficult at times, is an easy thing for us to do together because we both love them so much and love being together in it. Easy conversations,...Most prec...

Randomness of D: Who am I?
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/p/who-am-i.html
Welcome to the random! I am currently a stay-at-home-dog-mom. I am in love with my husband, and can't wait to see what being married to him for the rest of my life turns me into. I am even more in love with the Creator of the Universe, the Lover of my soul, the Saviour of my heart, God Almighty. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Swirling Brain, Adoption Heart. Randomness of D: Glimpses Behind the Curtain
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2013/05/glimpses-behind-curtain.html
Welcome to the random! Friday, May 17, 2013. Glimpses Behind the Curtain. I've heard the teaching pastor at our church talk a couple times about God pulling back the curtain of eternity and letting us see what is going on behind the scenes. I used to think that was only applicable to certain passages in the Bible, but the last few weeks have shown me that it can be day to day life too. I couldn't believe you were going to come in the next day! My heart leapt at the hand-print of God all over that.

Randomness of D: Operation Bring David Home
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2015/08/operation-bring-david-home.html
Welcome to the random! Saturday, August 15, 2015. Operation Bring David Home. And now we're in process of adopting David from China. What? Didn't we already try that once? Don't we have a baby so we don't have to adopt anymore? Oh my, the crazy questions we have fielded since we told the world we were running hard after our son who just so happens to be on the other side of the world. So here is the story of adoption in our family:. What patient, long-suffering love. And then a job change became availabl...

Randomness of D: February 2012
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Welcome to the random! Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Mercy hiding in plain sight. Starting in on another read along with Marla. My heart is in a bad place. The book is 7. By Jen Hatmaker, and judging by the intro I think I will be exceptionally challenged by this book. It's not that I think I have an issue with excess in many areas of my life per se, more that I know my heart is wicked and twisted and even my non-excess is excess wrapped in self-righteousness. Romans 7:24. Seems to be my refrain lately.

Randomness of D: March 2012
http://randomnessofd.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Welcome to the random! Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Flashy Things and My Heart. Linking again with Marla. Neither of us have smart phones, and the only reason we have unlimited texting is because our teenagers only communicate with 160 characters or less. Yep, I was smug coming into this chapter. Jen Hatmaker (and the Holy Spirit) can't touch me, I've got every excuse covered, I can power through without even blinking. God promised me, his child. That there is only grace in Christ. It is no longer me w...
