Scottish Referendum: what now? September 19, 2014. Last night, Scotland voted ‘no’ to independence. In a result that was possibly more decisive than some had imagined in the few days and weeks leading up to the referendum, it has arguably left the UK with more questions than answers. What happens now? David Cameron this morning announced that English votes for English laws is now going to be a thing, but this brings so many problems of its own. It’s a weird play but Iago gets caught and I always hated that bit, how can his amazing plan not work out? I like to think the original version of the script saw Iago get away, he was somehow the downtrodden, mad, genius of the play.
