Monday, September 10. This afternoon I painted some tomatoes. Still life, still on my windowsill. My favourite part is the berries on the bush outside the window. Links to this post. Nickel Creative: March 2014
http://nickelcreative.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 14. My first commissioned Childrens Book. This book, written by Tracy Marton, was illustrated using watercolour. It's the first of a series in which more characters will be introduced in each book. I'm finished illustrating the pages and now I'm working on the layout. Links to this post. My Snowy Owl was really frustrating at first. I finally was satisfied after re-painting it three or four times. Links to this post. Giant paintings of Churchill, Manitoba. Links to this post.

Nickel Creative: What's Happening at the Art Scene
http://nickelcreative.blogspot.com/2012/10/whats-happening-at-art-scene.html
Tuesday, October 30. What's Happening at the Art Scene. The house was filled with rich jazzy music while a lady contentedly sketched in the background and a group of men in the kitchen talked about a range of things from art to hunting. People laughed and talked, met new people and enjoyed the music and art. Did you know that some of the art displayed in the Loewen Art Green Scene has never been publicly displayed before? And make sure you join our ‘ Art Scene’ Facebook page. 8211; share links and ideas ...

Nickel Creative: October 2011
http://nickelcreative.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 12. Grounded - Illustration Friday. This is a painting I did for my church. As our pastor was speaking about life's difficulties, and how we often cry out to God asking why we are going through all these troubles. I painted black between all the branches, instead of lush green leaves. Isn't this what life feels like sometimes? They are to give you hope and a future. Links to this post. Nickel Creative: Key of David
http://nickelcreative.blogspot.com/2014/03/key-of-david.html
Friday, March 14. I was inspired to paint this key, with the Star of David in it last year. I wasn't sure what to paint underneath it at first, but after some thought and prayer, I painted the New Jerusalem, according to my imagination. This was a very fun painting, 4 feet tall by 3 feet wide, with all those fabulous bright colours! I did most of this with a pallet knife. About half a year later, I was at Beckah Shae's first concert in Winnipeg, and behold at the merch table was this necklace!
