Monday, November 24, 2008. Kids, cats, and all the suitcases made it in one piece. Christopher says that planes are "too long! And the cats may never forgive me :-P .but we're all here and it's DONE. We ran waaay late getting to the airport (Dawn please don't clobber me - I'll email you later, but we ran into an awful mess of snow squalls going through the pass and were rushing and crazy by the time we got close to the airport! No way I would clobber you! We'll hook up some day! At Home on the Rock.

Pretty near everyone in this town seems to own one - or more - of these, commonly referred to as "quads" (I'm used to them being called ATVs or 4-wheelers).one of those belongs to Norm, the others to his friends. I intend to pester him into showing me how to drive 'em! Cinnamon rolls, warm out of the oven, are one of the best answers to winter. They're not as blurry in person. Saturday, December 6, 2008. Miss Cinders makes delicious biscuits - the boys are quite enjoying our determination to become better cooks. *grin*. Along with the biscuits, there have also been molasses cookies which I have no doubt will disappear pretty quickly, and chocolate chip to come this weekend.our lovely new kitchen has inspired us to become better homemakers, yes indeed. In other news - Cindy and I are joining the local homeschool group later today for their Christmas sleigh ride thingamajig....

Wednesday, we headed to a local funpark for some rides and waterslides - well, Christopher and I didn't do the waterslides (he's too small) but Cindy had a great time on them. :-). See the green and blue slide on the left? That's a favourite - the kids call it "The Toilet Bowl", though I believe it's official name is "Cannon bowl", because of how you go around and around and around and then suddenly drop down through the hole.much like a toilet flushing. ;-). Thursday, July 31, 2008. Creating a morning person. A hot chocolate, but we discovered there wasn't any left, so I made her a kid-coffee. way more french vanilla cream than coffee, several heaping spoonfuls of sugar. ;-) (my attempt at making it somewhat palatable for 11 year old tastebuds). Note: I don't encourage the consumption of coffee for kids, so don't blast me LOL .in the absence of the hot chocolate, I had to make *something* hot in a mug]. Perhaps if I pick up some more (better tasting to her) ...
