http://hishymn.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-children-have-found-gum-on-bottom-of.html
Let life be a hymn. Thursday, June 09, 2011. My children have found gum on the bottom of the table at a restaurant before. I don't think they've ever put it in their mouths. They've picked up unidentifiable food off the floor of the car. Rarely have I seen them eat it. Did my four-year-old out-do herself recently (this photo is not for those of queasy composition):. And you thought yesterday's snake picture was disgusting? But how was I supposed to know if it was poison? Don't believe me.).

Let life be a hymn. Saturday, July 30, 2011. My great-grandmother's house is within sight of my own yard. She turned 92 this month, and still takes care of herself. In fact, it's been months since I saw her. Gosh, she's tired. But she's beautiful. She doesn't hear even half of the conversation, but she listens with humble dignity and patience as I and my children talk about all the trivialities of our lives. I'm thankful for another visit to see Grandma in her own home. Maybe the last. The Old Lady's Blog.

let life be a hymn: Free Prayer
http://hishymn.blogspot.com/2012/08/free-prayer.html
Let life be a hymn. Sunday, August 19, 2012. So I have this buddy - Brian. He was a preacher in mid-Missouri. Living with his wife and two teenage sons, working at a stable baptist church in a well-to-do college town. No real risk; no real problems.Except that he felt convicted that he should move to Chicago to start a house-church. So he did it! About 4 people meeting in his home on Sunday evenings. And you know what? Three people stopped and asked for prayer. Not too bad, if you ask me.

let life be a hymn: January 2011
http://hishymn.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Let life be a hymn. Sunday, January 30, 2011. We each have wounds in our hearts, you know. Some deeper than others, some long-healed; others, still fresh. This morning as we gathered to praise God with his church, one of my Christian brothers challenged me. His comment, which was a lovingly offered testimony of God's faithfulness and grace, aggravated one of those long-hidden wounds in my own heart. I tried to ignore it. But I wanted to get it out. To face it. To be brave. So today, I accepted with my mi...

let life be a hymn: October 2010
http://hishymn.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Let life be a hymn. Friday, October 01, 2010. Shall I write about you on my blog tonight? I ask my wife. Sure," she replies, "write whatever you want. Nobody reads it.". We're house hunting. Again. But not buying anything because our first house still hasn't sold. We do have a contract pending, but that's another story. What do you think of this one. What I could do with 5 acres. We wish we were in Don's family," the kids groaned from the back seat, "Then we could have a key to get in.".

http://hishymn.blogspot.com/2011/11/tonight-is-milestone-in-matter-of.html
Let life be a hymn. Monday, November 21, 2011. Tonight is a milestone, in a matter of speaking. My first 9 hours of graduate work are finished. I'm a quarter of the way finished. I've always heard people talk about how much time it takes to go back to school after you have a wife, family, job. No joke. But let me tell you that I have been praying for years for a catalyst of discipline in my life, and I think the Lord has heard me. Too bad discipline is a lesson that costs $300 per credit hour.
