The Stingy Stitcher: Infinity scarf, plus a pattern!
http://stingystitcher.blogspot.com/2010/10/infinity-scarf-plus-pattern.html
A poor student's quest for creativity. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Infinity scarf, plus a pattern! I'm taking a quick break from applications and posting a little something I pounded out last month. The first time I heard the words "infinity scarf," I was thinking something super-cool, like the infinity dress (btw, if you don't know what that is, Google it, it's pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen and a project I want to tackle in the future). But no. Google "infinity scarf," and you get. Sc2tog...

The Stingy Stitcher: December 2013
http://stingystitcher.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
A poor student's quest for creativity. Wednesday, December 11, 2013. A Little Holiday Spirit. As always, it's been a quite a while since my last post. I hope I find you all well and in the midst of a lot of holiday excitement! If anyone is interested in a post talking more about what my year and experience has been like, I'm happy to share, but otherwise, I'm keeping this more in the spirit of a crafting blog. However, I had also noticed that a lot of our neighbors are putting up Christmas wreathes. ...

Honey and Maple Syrup: April 2011
http://honeyandmaplesyrup.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 9, 2011. Another Green Picture Frame. A while back, I made this picture frame from a thrift store frame and beach mat and I finally decided it was time to do something with it. I took some pictures of Elijah a few weeks ago in front of an old abandoned blacksmith shop. I just loved the bricks and vines climbing up the walls. Then I found a coupon to Walgreens for a free 8x10 picture, so I went ahead and got this picture printed out.for FREE! Posted by Ali @ Honey and Maple Syrup. My name ...

Friday, August 26, 2011. Well, I don't have anything super major to show today, but I did wanna show you guys the progress of my living room. I had originally made frames for my candle sconces out of river reeds, but that lasted all of 3 days before my little 3 year old destroyed them. I kinda sorta had a feeling that was going to happen! I went ahead and made a better, non-destructive (Knock on wood! Posted by Ali @ Honey and Maple Syrup. Links to this post. Labels: candle sconce frames. 65279;I decided...

Honey and Maple Syrup: Design Portfolio
http://honeyandmaplesyrup.blogspot.com/2015/02/every-semester-when-i-was-in-school-i.html
Friday, February 6, 2015. This design also became the background for my portfolio. First up is the title page:. Given that this home is close to a cliff with ocean views, my inspiration for the floor plan was a piece of driftwood. The bedrooms and home office branch (pun kind of intended) off from the main living areas, and the guest space is separate, like a piece that broke off the driftwood. On the third floor, starting on the left, is a theater. Outside of the theater is a giant sandbox and some ...

Honey and Maple Syrup: Sunburst Mirror
http://honeyandmaplesyrup.blogspot.com/2012/06/sunburst-mirror.html
Saturday, June 16, 2012. Today I've got a sunburst mirror to show you guys. Nothing new. Nothing that hasn't been done before, but I figured I would share anyway. I was trying to make this as cheap as possible, so I started with a pack of shims for somewhere around $3 bucks. They are definitely more rustic than what I was going for, but ya get what ya pay for. After it was all primed and nailed, I painted it gold. It looked a little bright though, so I toned it down with some Dark Walnut stain. Subscribe...
