Our Road to the Checkered Flag daily updates on our road to recovery. Thursday, April 28, 2016. Dad has been able to go every day this week for a session, and will go tomorrow as well. Each session is lasting about two hours long, and they work him hard! He is exhausted and is in lots of pain when the day is over. Yesterday's workout whooped his butt! Since Tuesday, Dad's range of motion/flexibility in his arms has gone from 95 degrees to 115 degrees. This is such amazing progress! We were so excited!

He pushes himself so hard, you can see it in his face. When he puts his mind to something, he some how figures out a way to do it. The therapists have no scientific explanation as to why, or how he can wiggle his fingers and toes, but he can! Dad is maintaining his blood pressure extremely well! Pool therapy is going great! Right leg under water.

We found out this morning that dad does have an infection of some sort, but we are waiting for the culture to come back.The doctor called in an antibiotic and we started it right away. This explains why Dad has been tired and headachy. He is still very much the same today, but hopefully the antibiotic will kick in and treat whatever it is. We were very thankful to hear that!
