Fall 2002 to present:. Classes I teach include:. World Music, History of Rock, and History of Jazz. In my private teaching practice I maintain 12 to 15 students. Sessions occur at my home studio on Vashon, weekly. If the roster is full, I do keep a waiting list. I have been teaching privately well over 20 years, and have had many. Successful students. A number of them have won competitions,. Scholarships, and gone on to successful music careers. Since then it has become an annual event!

One week immersion in Jazz, Orchestral and World Percussion! July 26-31, 2016. The Vashon Percussion Camp. Offers 5 nights and 6 days of class, workshops, lessons and ensemble playing experience for students of percussion. Students tent in the wood, enjoy nitritous meals and have opportunities for unique island recreation . The week concludes with a demonstration performance for famiy and friends. It all takes place in a beautiful wooded environment on Vashon Island. Together combos for performance.

Thanks for checking out my bio! The late 80's and early 90's I worked stints with The Jazz Police Big Band, Tony Gable and 206, Jumbalassy, and Sam Andrew. I met Maggie Laird in 1988. We traveled and worked together most of '89, she is a piano player and singer. We were married and moved to Vashon Island and in 1990. Our daughter Chloë was born Thanksgiving Day 1993.
