Alissamay's: November 2014
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
November 24, 2014. Apple and Yam (Sweet Potato) Casserole. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is almost here. I am so unprepared. As usual. I always vow to stay out of all retail stores until the middle of January beginning the day after Thanksgiving. The Internet is my friend. That does not hold true for the grocery store though, there is no avoiding that. Luckily I can sneak in when most others are at work and avoid most of the crowds. Apple and Yam Casserole. Yams or sweet potatoes. Links to this post.

Alissamay's: February 2015
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
February 24, 2015. Winter seems to have finally hit here in the South. A little snow this morning, not much but it's just a teaser about what's on it's way. I might be the only one happy about that. I loved the texture and the fact that it wasn't overly soupy. I used one regular Rotel can and one mild just in case but it wasn't too spicy at all. If you're looking for a basic chili recipe that will appeal to a large group, this is it! Yellow onion, chopped. 2 (144 ounce) cans. 3 (8 ounce) cans. Use the sa...

Alissamay's: December 2014
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
December 30, 2014. Top 5 of 2014. Ruth's Chris New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp. Came in at number 5 for the year. Hard to go wrong with this recipe, if you are a shrimp lover this is a great recipe to try. I seriously make this recipe all the time! It's unusual for me to make the same recipe over and over again and not change anything but this is one that I don't mess with. Great flavor without being too spicy. Is just scrumptious. Perfectly lemony and perfect for the summer. Links to this post. We usually ...

Alissamay's: Crusty Bread
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2012/11/crusty-bread.html
November 12, 2012. I'm sorry for the lack of posts last week. My family and I made our way across the country to Oregon. Pictures coming (maybe tomorrow). Anyway, before we left I made this bread for the second time because we are totally in love with it. Not only is it super easy it is also just as good as you'd find in a bakery. The leftovers make a totally delicious toast. I could easily make this bread every other day and never get sick of it! Did I mention this is another Pinterest find? Let me know...

Alissamay's: Amazing Dinner Rolls
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2015/04/amazing-dinner-rolls.html
April 27, 2015. You are looking at the only thing I wanted to eat for dinner last night. I love homemade rolls anyway but these were so incredibly light and delicious I had to hurry up and bag them and put them out of my reach. And the recipe makes 24 of these babies! I froze most of them and then for lunch I took two out and microwaved them for 30 seconds and they were just like they were last night. If I don't get some help eating the rest of them I'm going to be in serious trouble. 1/3 cup 1/4 tsp.

Alissamay's: PW's Beef Enchiladas
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2015/04/pws-beef-enchiladas.html
April 21, 2015. I love Mexican food. I could eat it twice a week or more. For some reason I don't make it very often and it's probably because I think it's not going to be as good as the restaurant's. When will I learn? This dish has several steps to accomplish but they are easy, and when your end result tastes as delicious as anything you would order at a restaurant, I'd say it's worth it. Plus, the leftovers are just good and it made lunches a lot easier for me for several days after I made it. For the...

Alissamay's: Mini Vanilla Scones
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2015/05/mini-vanilla-scones.html
May 4, 2015. I craved these scones ever since I saw them on Pinterest. The original recipe uses vanilla bean. I didn't have that so I used vanilla extract. Normally you would see beautiful little black specks throughout. I will definitely make these again when I have some vanilla beans. However, the flavor of these little scones are still just what I wanted. Vanilla flavor topped with more vanilla flavor. Can't beat it. Made with real vanilla beans above. Recipe from Iowa Girl Eats. Cold butter, cubed.

Alissamay's: October 2014
http://alissamays.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
October 28, 2014. As you may or may not know, I've been doing an eating plan called Whole30. Whole30 is slightly different from Paleo, but it's close enough that you can use many of the same recipes. So, I happen to have a Paleo cookbook in my possession. Lucky for me, because some mornings I just don't have time to cook an omelet or make some bacon. Great alternative to the meat or eggs I have gotten used to with this eating plan. Recipe from Practical Paleo. Butter or coconut oil, melted. The cake is a...
