Everything I Ate - Japan. Eat real food. Not too much. Mostly plants. (Michael Pollan). Monday, October 19, 2009. Tokyo - first impressions. Prayer requests at the Meji Shrine. At the Meji Shrine. Simple lunch of miso soup, kukicha and fantastic grilled mackerel at a little family place in Asakusa. The high tech toilet in our hotel, complete with heated toilet seat and hydraulic lid. Survivalguide For Vegetarians (Not Only) In Tokyo. Wow, I definitely gonna try this recipe: Kurogoma Cupcakes with Matcha Cream Cheese Frosting! I tried this recipe last week and the cupcakes turned out lovely although I didn't have any black sesame paste at hand. I also took much less sugar (just about 220g) and they were still sweet enough for my taste. The recipe looks amazing, and your cupcakes are pretty topped with spring strawberries. One of the better uses of cement in (from) Japan.
