I`m an unconventional right-leaning libertarian-enviro lawyer. Wednesday, April 01, 2009. Planets First-Ever Mass-Extinction Precipitated by Humans. Should we be alarmed at the current massive die-offs being noted in the animal and plant kingdoms? After all, new species arise and old species die off all the time. Its just nature taking its course, right? Not necessarily. What’s different about this die-off is that this is the only such event precipitated by a biotic agent: humans. Links to this post.
TOKYO TOMATO
Monday, May 18, 2009. I'd just realized that my last post below was published on the same night my water broke. It's been an unbelievably long 1/2yr of not having any Tokyo Tomato things to say cos my life in Tokyo now is dramatically different and I no longer have the leisure of exploring the city here as a carefree individual with my lil koala bear stuck on my hip these days. Tokyo Tom Baker: The Blog | Updates on life and culture from a writer in Tokyo
Tokyo Tom Baker: The Blog. Updates on life and culture from a writer in Tokyo. Japan Writers Conference 2014. October 29, 2014. I spent last weekend in Morioka at the Japan Writers Conference. It’s a free, English-language event held in a different part of Japan every autumn. For the third year running, I interviewed a handful of the participants about what they write, what presentations they gave or attended, and what they would say to anyone who is thinking about coming next year. August 25, 2014.

Things I see, touch, smell, eat, hear and create in Tokyo. Moved to Kyoto and started to work at a beautiful bamboo shop full of breathtaking products. My last trip from Tokyo to Kamakura. A little sentimental but hopeful moment. Mitsukoshi Department Store - classic! Visited Nagano prefecture to do a collaboration project with Maki-chan. Enjoyed hand picked herbs for every single meals. :). Invited to a beautiful atelier of my new friend who uses herbs and plants for her work. My garden - Hibiya.
