I read this fantastic book a few months ago called. Letters to New Pastors. I highly recommend it even if you're not a pastor. The book had this great suggestion about study. It is easy to be overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge, scholarship and causes in the world. So, this author says, pick. 1 thing about which to become an expert.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Automobile - Organizing Round-up. It is time again for the Monthly Organizing Round-Up. For the month of June it was all about our CAR. We do a pretty good job keeping extra clutter from piling up in our car, but we are not very good at keeping the car clean or stocked. Our car needed some work. I started by taking the car to the mechanic. That pesky check-engine light was on again. Time to tackle the cleaning. I started by taking. Next I wiped everything. Finally time to organize.

Saturday, February 20, 2010. This year I am adopting a theme of simplicity. My focus is to simplify my life, and that of my family, to lower the demands I accept on myself and my time. One of the things I have finally admitted I needed to simplify was my blogging world. All that being said, I am closing my Contemplative Mom blog for now and will be moving any future posts that would have been on it (menu plans, book reviews, thoughts on motherhood, etc.) over to our family blog, Sumners in Scotland.
