Monday, 28 March 2011. Start of the season. The first month of the season is now done and dusted and am feeling very positive about the months ahed. Wednesday, 2 February 2011. This is my first post on here. I hope to keep it updated with everything which is happening this season and also give some publicity to the people who have supported me so far and I hope continue supporting me this year. This winter has without a doubt the hardest I have had to deal with and not for the usual reasons! Sunday, 6 February 2011. This week has been difficult, the first really problematic week since my return in October! Injury has kept me off the bike and instead focus was on getting it fixed. Saturday I wanted to test the water so did a very easy hour on the indoor rollers. The lack of resistance meant I could oxygenate and test the injury without risking damaging it more. Thursday, 3 February 2011. I have been very lucky with injures until this week, despite cycling for 3 years now I have not had even a niggle! I think I have lightly strained the ligament in my left calve which shouldn't take long to repair itself along with compression socks and ice! Its not a bad time as I am resting and preparing for 2 weeks very hard training, one week in the sun of Majorca, followed by one week in the UK which coincides nicely with my half term! Friday, 11 February 2011. The last week again has been far from ideal but I have made the most of it nonetheless. I have had a cough and a bad head cold which has kept me off the bike properly. It was good weather too but decided it was best to get rid of it before my training camp in Mallorca. The plane leaves in under 12 hours now, and am pleased to report im feeling much better!
