Dr. StrangeGun, or how I learned to love the odd...: Crawling out of the shadows...
http://drstrangegun.blogspot.com/2010/02/crawling-out-of-shadows.html
Dr StrangeGun, or how I learned to love the odd. Or how I learned to love the odd pistol. CZs, Nagants, other combloc memorabilia with the look and build of a tractor axle that somehow shoot like dreams. *My* domain, the strange and beautiful mechanisms of handheld firearms long past. And don't forget the strange ideas, nightmarish creations that spring from my head and make everyone I work with thankful that I don't *yet* have a CNC machine. Sunday, February 28, 2010. Crawling out of the shadows. An unu...

The Internet Ate My Homework: Find You Own Greatness
http://unclebubby.blogspot.com/2014/05/find-you-own-greatness.html
Wednesday, May 07, 2014. Find You Own Greatness. I was listening to my iPhone shuffle through all of the music uploaded to it when Ready to Hang. I was reflecting on all of this: All of the amazing things he had done in his life despite it being cut short. Of course I'm no Wayman Tisdale. My star does not shine nearly as bright and it likely never will. What I want, however, is to be remembered as having done something with my life. Stay tuned. I'll probably bring you along for the ride. The Book of Me.

The Internet Ate My Homework: Fear And Anger
http://unclebubby.blogspot.com/2014/05/fear-and-anger.html
Thursday, May 08, 2014. I am looking for my greatness. Will my star shine bright or will I let it continue to be dim? If I hold back I will waste potential. If I try too hard I may burn out and end up as a black hole. I hold myself back. I lie to myself that the resources are finite and I must not use them up. There is only so much I can use. But when I lie I only increase my own resistance. I excuse myself from trying. But I am afraid. I do not like the slow burn. Why do I stop when things get difficult?

The Internet Ate My Homework: The Matrix: Revelations
http://unclebubby.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-matrix-revelations.html
Thursday, August 08, 2013. Tape with the tabs broken out. I am the guy who will pay attention to - or at least look for - the man behind the curtain. It's like I'm seeing the Matrix code and it's just a bunch of random characters streaming down my screen. I recognize bits and pieces of code but I know it all. I want to see the matrix. I want to have a deep understanding. Until then, I keep staring at the screen watching the pretty shapes falling down. Help me a lot! I t will give you something to look up.

The Internet Ate My Homework: I Used To Have A Blog
http://unclebubby.blogspot.com/2014/05/i-used-to-have-blog.html
Sunday, May 04, 2014. I Used To Have A Blog. It took me a long time to break that habit. It's one of the reasons I started a blog. I didn't really want to continue writing in a style that embraced direct information without detail and sometimes without context. If I were to continue, my prose would be very succinct. I give you an example:. Then there's Twitter. 140 characters to say whatever you have to say and that's it! Anything, you just provide sound bytes without the sound. Have you noticed that my ...

The Internet Ate My Homework: The Barrier
http://unclebubby.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-barrier.html
Tuesday, May 13, 2014. A friend of mine who has definite physical limitations told me something this weekend. She used to say she had no regrets but she revealed to me that she had recently started feeling that she regretted not trying out for the pom pom squad in high school. As I think about what I said I know I'm holding myself back. I see the fence in the distance and feel I can't climb it and turn away. The truth I know is that the fence is not that high and there are gates. There may be...My last p...

View From The Porch. Books Bikes. Boomsticks. ".it's love and darkness and my sidearm.". Tuesday, September 07, 2010. Rule One: You must look cool. Unc points out, correctly, that "tactical" used to mean "black and expensive". It should be noted, however, that foliage green is the new flat dark earth which is the new coyote brown which is the new black. Make the appropriate notations in your fashion guides. Ick Ive always hated Foliage Green. Ill stick with variations of tan for my personal gear. Oh, wel...

The MoxArgon Group: Reality Checks: Terrorist Or Psycho Asshole
http://moxargongroup.blogspot.com/2011/07/reality-checks-terrorist-or-psycho.html
Reality Checks: Terrorist Or Psycho Asshole. I'm taking a break from my retirement from blogging to offer a little reality check over the whole tragedy in Norway. Specifically the asshole behind it:. Right now people on the Political Left are crowing that Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik is the living proof that Christians are somehow exactly the same as Muslims when it comes to terrorism. That's what we more evolved life forms call "horseshit.". Let's take a look at the facts:. The only re...

View From The Porch. Books Bikes. Boomsticks. ".it's love and darkness and my sidearm.". Monday, February 07, 2011. But it says "Custom" right on the gun! Hilton Yam is probably the go-to guy on duty 1911s these days. It's been four years now since he pulled Kimbers. From the list of 1911s he recommends for duty use. Only to find that the guns were lemons. This is my shocked face. Most 1911s made these days are hobby guns. They have ejectors that aren't pinned, MIM plunger tubes that won't take a sta...
