There were about 1500 people at the Awards Luncheon and I got to see some folks from Alaska and Hawaii that I haven't seen in a few years. Not to toot my own horn, but this is the second time in 3 years that I've won an award and attended the luncheon. The beach we went to is on a now defunct golf course, but they use the golf course as parking for beach goers and drive you from the golf course down to the beach in vans. The Mayor of Honolulu was one of the speakers and presented a proclomation marking 27 May 2007 as the Federal Employee's Day. Nice guy and a big guy too. Friday, April 9, 2010. We just returned from Spring break in Boise. It was relaxing and a fun change of scenery. The big attraction on the trip was my nephew Charlie. All the kids took turns feeding, changing and playing with him. He is so cute! So what might one do while in Boise? These are the regular attractions:. 1 A morning walk on the greenbelt by the Boise river which happens to be in my parent's back yard. 2 Catch a movie. The boys went with my Dad to see Avatar.
