The digger knocked over two very big trees. It was amazing! We watched the big orange digger. The digger was huge. There was a safety fence, a big orange fence. Room 2, Tomarata School. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. In our garden there is green, healthy lettuce growing by the long green chives. I like our garden because it has all my favourite food in it. There are marigolds in the garden to keep the insects out. On the outside we have put crushed egg shells to keep out snails and slugs too. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Tomarata lakes pest fish netting. TOMARATA LAKES PEST FISH SURVEY. On the 29th of october room3 went to Tomarata lakes to do a survey on the pest fish netting. The Tomarata lake managment committee had organised pest fish netting and invited room 3 to come along and do a survey on how many rudd, trout, koi and tench they caught and then weigh and measure them. Craig Stevens had a talk to us about the lake, the fish and their history. 85 rudd, 17 trout and 1 tench.

Welcome to Tomarata Rugby Club. Tradition has played a major part of the clubs make-up, with club initiatives such as the long running ‘Married v Singles’ fixture, to the retention of a clean playing strip with no sponsors logos, to new ideas such as regular club trips to play the Great Barrier rugby side.
