Wednesday, November 14, 2012. SOME OF OUR STORIES. Went to the CrossCountry and I came first! I felt like a million dollars. I got a fizzy and I got a doughnut. My day was cool. I felt happy and proud of myself. I was in my house and then I went into the car and we went to the swimming pools and it was fun. I went to Jade’s birthday and we had some cake. It was yum! We had over half the class bringing lunches that were litter free and most of the other students had only 1 item of packaged food in their boxes. Thursday, December 6, 2012. Recycled magazine Xmas trees. Room 5 have been making Xmas trees using the old magazines that we accumulate at school. They folded each page 3 times to create the trees. Monday, February 20, 2012. Thursday, February 16, 2012. Cleaning out the Worm Farm. Last week Room 5 decided the worm farm needed to be emptied because the shredded paper and food scraps we had been putting in were overflowing. So the class spread out a cover and emptied it completely. We put lots of the worms in two buckets to put back and dug out all the wormacast at the bottom. There was a lot! Monday, July 30, 2012. Today we visited the Science Road show in at Rodney College. We watched several exciting experiments and then experimented with all the exhibits and activities set up around the hall. Room 5 were very lucky this week to help Ryan celebrate his birthday with some specially made treats. They looked fantastic and tasted great too. Thanks very much Ryan. (And Ryan's Mum! They were mini cars made with little biscuits, chocolate bars and m and m's. NZ Ukulele Festival 2012.

Monday, December 3, 2012. Room 5 are practicing their stacker cup skills for the class competition. By the end of the year we hope to have a class champion.
