On our way into town we noticed a multitude of signs in yards proclaiming “Pray for Holy Guardian Angels Church! There’s even an active Facebook page. Opposing the closing decision. I was able to locate some fascinating information on the history of the church. An example of one of the yard signs we saw all over town.

This was a small, but well-kept cemetery in Franklin County that was founded in 1819 and contains old and new markers alike. Upon entrance the first thing you notice is an entire area dedicated to Ryan Sean McMillin who died in April of 2004. One of our favorites was the marker for Lucy Liming Cobb who died at the age of 71...
