Monday, May 31, 2010. Fishing boat on the ICW. St Simons Island to Thunderbolt (suburb of Savanna). Tide: 6’ 4”. There was very little traffic on the ICW. It was downright deserted. So I made great time. Left at first light and arrived just after noon. The weather was overcast and just perfect. I skated to Savanna. It was a great skate. Somewhat challenging because of many places where there were not usable sidewalks and lots of brick roads. The food has been great. This is where I didn’t eat.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009. We had dinner with my parents. The picture behind them is one of my mothers paintings. 2 rings on the Bell Scale. Lake Okeechobee was roughed up with a two foot chop. I was expecting the open waters leading to Port Salerno to be choppy like Okeechobee but they were smooth. Denny supposedly gets seasick. Saturday, June 5, 2010. Georgetown kitty with a bandana. Holden Beach to Swan Point. Had the raft out and went for a nice skate to Sneads Ferry. There is a pontoon bridge on the route. It is a barge with a roadbed on it. On the hour the barge picks up the road bed and swings out of the way. I got past it yesterday.
