The story of "Tom do it". The sign shown here is very similar to his "Let Tom do it" business card, except for the "rototilling". The date of this recently discovered slide makes it contemporary with his card, but it is unclear if the sign inspired the card or if it was the other way around. Of course, rototilling wasn't the only thing Tom did, but he was very proud of his Troybilt "tiller". At one time Tom and Judy, aka " Urdee. Had CBs and their handles "TDI65" and "WF47" appeared in a sign on the truc...

Tom had a unique way of putting things. Some of the things he said were just basically Ozarkian slang, many were a result of mocking someone else's speech, but a lot of them were just Tom being Tom. Often the meaning of What Tom said was clear, but sometimes he used terms that require an explanation. So, where it would be helpful an explanation is included. Be advised that Tom had a multifaceted personality and some of these may be just a little on the "raunchy" side. Duh ocean (the ocean). Oh, pee on!

The story of Urdee's roundtoit. As is the case with many individuals, Judy has been known to procrastinate now and then. Tom may well have exxagerated this trait, but she was known to say on occasion that she she would do something as soon as she got "around to it" :). Always wanting to get in the last word, and liking a good pun, Tom decided to make a "roundtoit" and then gave it to her. Thus, Judy got a "roundtoit" and Tom never let her use that excuse again! Tom got a video camera in 1989 and he loved to take videos of just about everything you could imagine. This included cats and other animals as well as family gatherings and outdoor scenes such as sunrises and sunsets. Some of the videos featured at the Cat video website.
