When I did tell him the whole story he could tell that something had changed. He believed me when I said I knew it would be OK. After meeting with her she was able to have Dr. Chen (a very experienced doctor who I REALLY wanted to see first but was booked out for another month and a half) who happened to be in the office that day, come in and examine me as well.
