I spent 48 hours in Manila, and went to Los Banos to visit my old buddy and birder Paul Bourdin who moved there last year. I took a taxi from my downtown Manila hotel to the University gate where I met Paul at 06:45. I probably paid the taxi-driver too much at 2,500 pesos ($ 50), but he was such a nice guy. We now stay close to downtown, and a 2 km walk to Osaka Castle Park. I spent the morning from 6-11 am walking around the entire park.
