Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: June 2010
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 28, 2010. During the school year, I am so busy I want to just crawl in my bed and die. Often, on the weekend, if I don't have massive grading, I do just sit around and veg. I wish for days and days of doing nothing. I live for Christmas and Summer break. It's really silly because there is no one counting on me to do anything and nothing I have to do, other than take care of these classes, and I'm doing that. Sure, I need to be reading for Savannah and I should be doing some deep cleaning...

Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: January 2011
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. I can't begin to wrap my head around what it must have been like to deal with that sort of tragedy. I've always had great respect for Coach Eddie Sutton, no matter what his personal issues may have been, and realizing with even more specificity what it must have been like for him only allows my respect to grow. Ha) and telling them to respect it. Seeing that memorial when it's shown on TV during games, etc. makes me feel at home. Friday, January 21, 2011. It seems like every w...

Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: April 2010
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 21, 2010. So, you may have notice the ole blog updates have been infrequent lately. Things have been CRAZY here, what with grading, my dad visiting, and other obligations. However, the best time of the year is nearly upon us. That's right. the end of the semester! Needless to say, when I have more time in the next few weeks, I'll be back to blogging and keeping up with things the way I should be. More to come. Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Back to the Drawing Board. Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: February 2010
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 18, 2010. As you may know, this past weekend was the NBA All-Star game, which took place in Dallas. I don't know much about it because I don't follow pro basketball. I guess that's a bit strange because I love college ball, especially March Madness, but I don't get into the NBA. However, I DO. Get into parties and let me tell you, there were TONS. It was to the point where someone forwarded me a copy of the Excel spreadsheets that people were making to try to figure this stuff out!

Thursday, February 10, 2011. Who Plans Life, Anyway? What I have mostly been seeing is that there seem to be a large group of my former students / athletes at OSU that are now married and having babies. For the most part, this makes me smile. I'm excited for them because I know they are going to be great parents and I can't wait to see pictures of their babies and witness (vicariously, through technology) their growth and early first moments. So I guess my question is why didn't my plan work out? I know ...

Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: January 2010
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 20, 2010. On the flip side though, every letter or card I got from him was special. He wasn't a writer. duh, he was a hockey player! So every card or note that I got from him was such evidence of how much he cared about me. He would have much rather been on the ice or doing something than sitting in a chair writing to me, but he still did it. I think I still have all those letters stuck away somewhere with other notes from the past. I treasured them. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Therein ...

Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: October 2010
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 19, 2010. I'm not really sure why people feel the need to lie to me so often. Do I seem like the sort of person that one can't be truthful with? I am pretty sure that anyone who knows me knows how much I value honesty. I can put up with a lot as long as a person tells me something him or herself and doesn't try to "pull one over" on me. The next day, I had two more missed calls from the same number and then texts started coming in. They were from a girl who had found my number in his...

Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: Putting the "Diss" in Disappointment
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2011/04/putting-diss-in-disappointment.html
Friday, April 1, 2011. Putting the "Diss" in Disappointment. I think "disappointment" is an aptly named word. Especially when the disappointment comes in the form of failed plans. It's truly life's way of "dissing" you (which I realize is using a version of the word to define it, but you get the point). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Changed My Lattitude, Changed My Attitude: Bleak, and Not Just Cause it's Winter....
http://captainkey.blogspot.com/2011/01/bleak-and-not-just-cause-its-winter.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. Bleak, and Not Just Cause it's Winter. It seems like every where I turn lately, there is bad news. The Facebook statuses that my friends post are all depressing and sad, the news is NEVER a place to find uplifting stories, and now we are facing major budget cuts at our school. I hope that we will be able to find a way to work though all of this, but it may get worse before it gets better. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it won't be as dire as people are making it out to ...
