http://darrenandchristie.blogspot.com/2015/07/personal-growth-in-kitchen.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. Personal growth in the kitchen. Note: This is a 'pat yourself on the back moment', brought to you by Christie. I am definitely getting more comfortable in the kitchen. (And just a shade over four decades, alright! For example, this morning I went to the kitchen intending to make blueberry muffins for breakfast. I'm using Smitten Kitchen's recipe. Nuts There is no vanilla yogurt. But we do have blueberry. We'll give that a try. I'm typing all of this up as my first batch is baking.

Kargo the Dog: December 2014
http://kargothedog.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Walking in Golden Gate Park. We frequently walk with Kargo in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This recent walk around Stow Lake occurred just after Christmas. She's standing in front of the "open source". Christmas tree/bush that has been decorated for the last few years by park visitors. The ornaments change every year, and this year someone decided that empty little liquor bottles make great ornaments. Monday, December 22, 2014. Kargo loves the chair! Kargo, also spelled a...

Kargo the Dog: February 2015
http://kargothedog.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. Fremont Older hiking and tick removal. We went on a hike with Kargo recently in the Fremont Older Open Space Preserve. And a good time was had by all. After the hike, we discovered that a nasty, nasty tick had attached itself to Kargo behind her right ear. We named the tick "Terrence" but that was probably unnecessary. We had purchased this Tick Twister. Monday, February 23, 2015. Kargo at eight months. Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Bison in Golden Gate Park. Kargo, also spel...

Life at the condo: Book forty-one: Going Somewhere: A Bicycle Journey Across America by Brian Benson
http://darrenandchristie.blogspot.com/2015/07/book-forty-one-going-somewhere-bicycle.html
Friday, July 03, 2015. Book forty-one: Going Somewhere: A Bicycle Journey Across America by Brian Benson. Find at the library turned out to be a really great read. Brian meets Rachel. They decide to bike across America. And then they do it. I appreciated when Benson finally understood that Rachel's experience was different from his own. (It takes him awhile to get there.) His pleasure, spending days in the saddle tackling gigantic climbs, is not hers. 41 down plus 11 to go. Life in a Small House.
