Life Through Heather's Lens. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Back in March I bought you guys some color coordinated outfits and we headed to the Missouri Botanical Garden to take an Easter photo shoot. The gardens were more beautiful than I even anticipated and surprisingly, you guys were fairly cooperative. You can't tell how big this plant was from the photo, but trust me, it was huge! The secret to this shot is Daddy cracking jokes on the sidelines! Great day, great kids, great shots! The places we go.

Life Through Heather's Lens. Sunday, April 15, 2012. On the actual night before Christmas, Mommy had to work an overnighter at the hospital. Bah Humbug! Amazingly, Santa found his way to our house anyway. That Santa. He never disappoints. I got off work at 7 am on Christmas Day and made it home before the kids even woke up! Life Through Heather's Lens. Saturday, December 31, 2011. This year for Halloween Claire was Supergirl and Logan was a cool soldier. A few days before the BIG DAY we all went to a party at our neighbor Colin's house. On Halloween we hosted our second annual hot dog and marshmallow roast. The kids (and adults! Had a good time, even if Halloween did fall on a school night this year. And I don't want to brag on my awesome camo makeup job.but I almost didn't even see Logan in this picture. Looking like a pro.

The day after we got home from Chicago, I took a vacation day from babysitting and we headed out to the zoo with our good friends, the Trohas. River's Edge is such a great feature of the park. It's really shady, the exhibits are au naturel, and the one-way traffic combine to make it a great place to hang out. Here's our rhino - it's pretty rare that you ever see much of him besides his backside. Now Claire wants a piece of the action.

You have been wandering into our bedroom to snuggle up in our big bed, or worse - sometimes I go into your room and find you sleeping on your floor! I couldn't take it anymore, so when Pappy came over during Christmas, I made him and Daddy. Turn your toddler bed into a big girl bed! Look how much you love it! You look so tiny in your great big bed. Sweet dreams, sweet girl.
