They are earning their credit, and even if they don't retain all of the math skills, they are learning work ethic and the satisfaction that they earned what they got. They are no longer able to ignore something because it is a little difficult for them. I am a teacher. This is my journey. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Ready For A Change. In June 2009, my principal suggested to me that I attend a Marzano/Pickering conference in September. I didn't have a clue who they were, but I didn't tell her that! I didn't really want to go, until she said it would be a night away from my kids.
