tomsharren: Windows Home Server 2011 released to manufacturers

http://tomsharren.blogspot.com/2013/01/windows-home-server-2011-released-to.html

Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Windows Home Server 2011 released to manufacturers. Just a little under two months after its release candidate went live. Windows Home Server (WHS) 2011 has been finalized and released into the wild. The new version of Microsoft's slick, do-it-all server OS is a big step forward from its predecessor. Drive Extender, of course, didn't resurface. An evaluation download for Windows Home Server 2011 will be made available in April - we'll let you know when the links are ready.

http://tomsharren.blogspot.com/2013/01/amazon-appstore-for-android-test-drive.html

Sunday, January 13, 2013. Amazon Appstore for Android Test Drive hands on: surprisingly cool, but still US-only. When Amazon Appstore for Android launched. Last week, one of its primary features - Test Drive - was disabled just a few minutes after it opened. With no try-before-you-buy, no refund process, and 1-Click purchasing ready to strike at any moment, this caused some problems. Anyway, don't despair: Test Drive is now enabled. Works fine - you can even watch movie trailers. But the Angry Birds games.
