Adventures in Paradise: February 2015
http://adventures-inparadise.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 14, 2015. Alaska - Day 5, Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier. Thursday, September 25. Windy, drizzly, rainy. A gray day. The sun did try to break through the thick clouds today, but not very hard. We had breakfast in our room this morning, since our bus was leaving so early. After a brief heart attack when my husband's room key went missing (you can't leave the ship without it) five minutes before we were to disembark, we located our tour bus and were on our way to Mendenhall Glacier. On th...

Big Fish Travel Blog. Interesting travel tips from the Big Fish. Sunday, August 5, 2012. Pre-Cruise Day 3: DIY Florence from Rome by Train. Replica David at Piazza della Signoria. Soon after we booked our “amazing deal” of a cruise in March, I found out that Italy has this habit of closing museums and galleries on Mondays and that our port stop in Livorno. Was – surprise! 8211; on a Monday. With that in mind, the next challenge was: how would we get to Florence from Rome? And they would be a logical opti...

Freelance Stories by Stacey Hewitt Orobona. Tuesday, March 15, 2016. The Wedding of Math, the Pontiff, and a Fishing Hole. Im late for the wedding. I hurry my pace towards the church. Layers of English schoolchildren fitted in azure-blue blazers man all the traditional checkpoints. One hands me a program at the threshold of the narthex, and I mumble thanks, self-conscious of my American accent. My wife and boys follow. The Wedding of Math, the Pontiff, and a Fishing Hole. Likeness in a Change of Scenery: Tuscany in a Day, the Divine Comedy
http://michael-orobona.blogspot.com/2015/11/TuscanyInADay.html
Freelance Stories by Stacey Hewitt Orobona. Sunday, November 29, 2015. Tuscany in a Day, the Divine Comedy. Upon disembarking the Emerald Princess, we boarded a motorcoach promptly at 7 am to beat the summer crowds to Pisa. We headed next to Florence on a winding drive through the pretty Tuscan countryside. I tried to pretend I was on one of those romantically immersive sabbaticals, but I was on an air-conditioned motor coach, wearing a cruise-tour group identification sticker, an earpiece paired wit...

Which is the best approach is a topic for spirited debate around the fire pit, but there is no doubt, süt szalonna waits in Hades for the vegan sinner. All the makings of a feast. Adventures in Paradise: Alaska - Day 4, Ketchikan
http://adventures-inparadise.blogspot.com/2015/02/alaska-day-4-ketchikan.html
Thursday, February 12, 2015. Alaska - Day 4, Ketchikan. Wednesday, September 24. Misty, drizzly, sunny, rainy – You name it. Arriving in Ketchikan,. Early in the misty morning. I awoke as the ship was approaching Ketchikan. You walk off the ship, and there you are. It rains a lot in Ketchikan, and rain is such a welcome thing to me right now, as we are having a drought emergency in California. Wouldn't it be fabulous if a method could be found to ship this water back home? We stood on the little bridge.
